Century-old bungalows in Hyde Park, Mediterranean revivals off Bayshore, and modern waterfront builds on Davis Islands each need a different approach. A design that flatters a low-pitched historic roofline will look wrong on a two-story stucco façade.
The tree canopy is the biggest factor. Grand oaks along Bayshore and through Palma Ceia mean a roofline alone often disappears from the street — the display has to work with the canopy, not under it. Palms respond beautifully to warm-white wrapping and read as high-end from a block away.
Historic homes bring their own constraints. Many Hyde Park properties have original soffits, tile roofs, and detail work that can't take standard clips. Every attachment is chosen for the surface it's going on — no nails, no staples, nothing that leaves a mark.

Yes, and in South Tampa it's usually the difference between a nice display and a memorable one. Under the Bayshore and Palma Ceia canopy, tree lighting is often more visible from the street than roofline lighting alone.
